I am beginning to study distributed development technology and practices in grad school. I have read a fair number of documents that attempt to describe the phenomena known as Web 2.0. Out of all the articles I have read and podcasts I have listened to none have come close to the lucidity of this presentation. I applaud Michael Wesch for this seminal production and will watch for further insights. Bravo

It is very difficult to extract useful information out of natural language for computational purposes. This video is being slightly deceptive by suggesting more human readable knowledge translates into something directly useful by software. Computers see English like humans see a string of 1's and 0's. It is very difficult to make natural language processors extract much more information out of it.
